Everyday the word integrity is used by motivational speakers, business owners, and coaches across the country. In fact I would argue the word has been used so much it’s lost its meaning.
Sure, there’s the traditional definition of the word, but today when someone uses the “Integrity” I think they’re trying to refer to something deeper…to how they run their business or how they live their life. It not only means telling the truth or “who you are when no one is watching” but rather it’s a reflection of the choices you makes, character you have, keeping your word, and doing things the right way.
I’ve walked into countless boardrooms though and laughed seeing “Integrity” plastered on the wall knowing full well the lack thereof I would see from the company in front of me. Needless to say when I heard “Integrity Roofing” I expected the same mantra on repeat with little action to back up their words…but what I saw was anything but!
